ROYAL NP (Grade 5) - Exploration down South West Arm Creek
Sun 02nd Nov 2025
Bookings available to active members only.
Starting at Flat Rock Crossing car park, we will walk down South West Arm Creek. For the first few hundred metres there is a distinct footpad, but from then down to Winifred Falls a mixture of rock hopping and penetrating through scrub awaits the adventurer. From Winifred Falls we will walk down to the head of navigation and, if we have timed the tides properly, will be able to wade downstream as far as Saddle Gully, when we will find a way up there towards Anice Falls. We will return to cars parked at the Winifred Falls car park.
Off-track and exploratory Grade 5 walk.
Approx 15 km.
Activity organiser - GARETH D.
A DAY WALK generally takes 5-8 hours, as advised by the Activity Organiser.
The GRADE reflects the level of difficulty & distance. Refer to explanation of walking grades on the club website.
