This circle ride starts and ends at Wolli Creek Train Station. We'll follow the shared path along Cooks River, Green Way, Bay Run, Glebe Foreshore, Orphans Creek, Sydney Uni, Newtown, Erskineville, Burke Street Cycleway, Mascot and Alexandra Canal Cycleway. We'll stop on the way for a coffee. The emphasis is taking it easy and enjoying the points of interest.

This may become a regular ride with different short detours each time. For this first ride I plan a short detour to the Revolve Recycling Bike Shop in Alexandria on the way through.

The majority of this ride is on cycleways and a few quiet streets. Note that the Burke Street Cycleway is a separated pathway on the edge of a busy street. Care must be taken at all times when crossing driveways.

This ride is suitable for most bikes. Riders must be self-sufficient and responsible for their own repairs and equipment. All riders must wear a properly fitting bike helmet. Please note: Pedal-assisted E-bikes (Max 250W) are welcome, but E-bike riders may not be covered by club insurance if there are no traditional bikes in the group.

Activity organiser: PHIL T.

The GRADE reflects the level of difficulty & distance. Refer to explanation of cycling grades & other cycling information on the club website.

CYCLING is a 'Peer Activity' - where no instructional or guiding structure exists and it is the responsibility of each participant to ensure the suitability of their equipment and themselves for the activity.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended that all E-bike riders have Personal Accident and Public Liability insurance cover via membership of Bicycle NSW. This is advised as Sutherland Bushwalkers insurance only covers E-bikes if they are ridden in a group with non E-bike participants and at the same speed as non E-bike participants during a club activity.
