HEATHCOTE NP (Grade 4): Ferntree - Scouters Mountain Loop

Leaving from Ferntree Road Engadine we follow the Waterboard track and cross Heathcote Road. Follow the firetrail to climb Scouters Mountain, with the opportunity to spot a koala or two.
Descend via Scouters Mountain track to an unnamed track to Banya Pool and then follow the pipeline track back to Heathcote Road, and then back to Ferntree Reserve.
Some steep sections, especially from Heathcote Road to Ferntree at the end of the walk.
Approx 10 km.
