Long drive, Easy walk, Spring flowers and Picnic lunch.
The drive to Barren Grounds Nature Reserve for native spring flowers is worth the effort. The Nature Reserve is a plateau, so basically a flat walk.
We will walk to Illawarra Lookout and Cooks Nose and finish with a picnic lunch.
Car pooling is recommended and I will assist with the logistics.
Ignoring Google, the better option is to drive via Albion Park, up the Illawarra Highway towards Robertson turning into Jamberoo Mountain Road for 18 kms.
Please bring morning tea, lunch and rug or chair.
Approx 9 km walk.
Organiser: Kay Rogers
DAY WALKS generally take 5-8 hours, as advised by the Activity Organiser.
The GRADE reflects the level of difficulty & distance. Refer to explanation of walking grades on the club website.
