HEATHCOTE NP (Grade 4): The Hermit's Loop

Starting at the top of Mirang Road, we will take the traditional route of the Mountain Trails Club to their spiritual home of Miara Pool. After a magnificent walk up the flats of Heathcote Creek, we will find the Depression Cave in the cliffs near Minda Pool. Then we will use the Goanna Track to get to the Pipeline Road, walking to the Boobera Pool track. We’ll take the high ridge, checking out Old Todd’s Hut before walking upstream to Kingdom Come. Our return to Heathcote will be an easy walk along firetrails and service roads.
