ROYAL NP (Grade 4): Kangaroo Creek – the whole way

Starting at Waterfall Station, we take a well-established track down Kangaroo Creek, past two impressive waterfalls, one with a very impressive plunge pool. From there the track becomes less distinct but it is a reasonably frequented route and there are several swimming holes as we progress down towards Karloo Pool. From Karloo there is an excellent track down to Olympic Pool and, beyond that, a clear footpad takes us down past even more fantastic pools until we reach the head of navigation for pleasure boats from Audley – just where the Engadine-Audley track crosses. We take the latter back to Heathcote Station.
